SWMS & Contractor Compliance
Get the paperwork right before the job starts — and make sure it still makes sense once the work is underway.
We help you build task-specific SWMS, contractor prequalification, induction and verification processes that are practical enough to use on site and strong enough to stand up to scrutiny.
Documents that pass on site, not just in the office
A SWMS can look fine on a screen and still fall apart the moment the job starts.
Generic wording, controls that don’t reflect the site, plant that isn’t accounted for, workers who haven’t been consulted, or a document that bears little resemblance to what the crew is actually doing — these are the things that get picked up quickly.
The problem usually isn’t that a document is missing. It’s that the document and the work don’t match.
We start with the activity, the site conditions, the people doing the work and the controls that are genuinely available. Then we build the SWMS and contractor requirements around that reality.
For contractors, we also help you get the important checks done before mobilisation — so licences, insurances, competencies, inductions and access requirements are dealt with before someone is standing at the gate waiting to start.
Less chasing paperwork. Fewer surprises on site. Better control of the work.
A SWMS is not a permission slip.
A signed SWMS does not automatically mean the work is safe.
The document should show that the high-risk construction work has been thought through, the hazards have been identified and the controls reflect what is actually happening on site.
That means the SWMS needs to make sense to the people doing the work — not just the person who wrote it.
If the crew can’t explain the controls, or the work has changed and the SWMS hasn’t, the document has stopped doing its job.
That’s why consultation, review and verification matter just as much as the original drafting.
What's included
How the engagement runs
We start with the high-risk activities, site conditions, interfaces, plant and people involved.
The SWMS is developed around the work and reviewed with the people who will actually use it.
Prequalification, induction, access requirements and evidence checks are set up before mobilisation.
We verify that the documents still match the work, identify gaps and keep records of the actions taken.

Whether you need better SWMS, stronger contractor onboarding or a more reliable way to verify what’s happening on site, we’ll start with how the work actually gets done.
No template packs for the sake of it. No paperwork chasing after mobilisation. Just practical controls that help the work start safely and stay under control.
